Privacy Policy

The short version

The content you put into a tool on this site — your text, your images, your PDFs, the passwords you generate — never leaves your device. It is processed by JavaScript running in your own browser, and there is no server to send it to. Separately from that, the site itself uses a small number of third-party services to be delivered, funded and contactable, and those are listed in full below.

What the tools never send

• The text, JSON, CSV, Markdown or code you paste into any tool.
• The files you drop in — images, PDFs, anything else. They are read into browser memory and never uploaded.
• The passwords, hashes, QR payloads and colour values you generate.
• Account information, because KitYards has no accounts and no login.

Website analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. It is cookieless and does not build a profile of you or follow you across other websites. It records aggregate page views along with coarse technical information such as the referring page, country, device type, browser and operating system. It has no access to anything you type into a tool.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like every web host, Vercel processes the technical information needed to deliver a page to you — including your IP address — in its server logs. This is standard infrastructure logging, not something we query or use to identify individuals.

Advertising

KitYards is funded by advertising delivered through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies to measure ad performance, cap how often you see the same ad and, where you have consented, personalise the ads shown. Consent is requested through Google's own certified consent tool where the law requires it, and you can change your answer at any time from the link in the footer. The advertising script runs in a separate frame and has no access to the content you process. See our Cookie Policy for the detail.

The contact form

If — and only if — you submit the contact form, the name, email address, topic and message you entered are sent through Web3Forms, a third-party form-delivery service, which forwards them to our email inbox. We use that information solely to answer you. Nothing is sent while you are typing, and the form is the only part of this site that transmits anything you have written.

What is stored on your device

Two small values are kept in your browser's localStorage. They are not cookies and are never transmitted to us or anyone else:

• theme — whether you chose the light or dark interface.
• favourites — the tools you starred, so they appear first on your next visit.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, the UK or another region with comparable law, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. In practice the only personal data we hold is the content of a message you chose to send us. Write to us using the address on the contact page and we will action any such request.

How long anything is kept

Contact messages are kept in our email only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry and to keep a record of correspondence, and are deleted on request. Analytics data is aggregate and retained by Vercel under their policy. We keep no other records, because there are none to keep.

Children

KitYards is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. Since the site requires no account and collects nothing beyond what is described above, there is no profile to create in the first place.

International transfers

The third-party services named above — Vercel, Google and Web3Forms — may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards set out in their own privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

If the way this site handles data changes, this page will be updated with a new last-updated date. Material changes will be described rather than quietly folded in.
