Cookie Policy

What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. It can be read back later, which is what lets a site remember a preference between visits or lets an advertising network recognise a returning browser.
Cookies KitYards sets itself
None. KitYards has no analytics cookies, no session cookies and no login, because there is nothing to log in to. We do store two small values in your browser's localStorage — which is not a cookie and is never sent to any server:
- theme — whether you chose the light or dark interface.
- favourites — the tools you starred, so they appear at the top of the home page on your next visit.
Third-party advertising cookies
This site is funded by advertising delivered through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies to measure ad performance, limit how often you see the same ad, and — where you have consented — personalise which ads you see. These cookies are set by Google, not by us, and we have no access to their contents.
Your content is never involved
This is worth stating plainly: the advertising script cannot see the text, images or files you process with our tools. Those never leave your device and are never written to a cookie. Ads are rendered in slots around the tool, in a separate frame from the tool itself.
Your choices
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before any advertising cookie is set, and you can change your answer at any time from the link in the site footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of personalised advertising across all sites at adssettings.google.com. Blocking advertising cookies does not affect any tool on this site — everything keeps working exactly the same.
Changes to this policy
If the way this site uses cookies changes, this page will be updated with a new last-updated date.
